Ode Sea Us
We are proud to present the short film “Ode Sea Us”, official selection of the Ibiza Cine Fest 2024. It is our poetic interpretation of the ancient myth of Odysseus who may have passed by Es Vedrà. This is a very exciting collaboration between Aguascopio (art collective fusing artistic swimming in the sea, costume design and drone photography), and Theatre of the Ancients (puppet and mask maker, and storyteller focusing on Ibiza’s mythical landscapes). We were lucky to also have the collaboration of two other artists. Actress and poet Alex Gray wrote the poem and did spoken word for this short film, and Odysseus was beautifully portrayed by Martin Silva Monzon.

Shadows Of Time
Shadows of Time is a non-narrative art film by Aguascopio, an all-female collective merging artistic swimming, costume design, and drone photography to explore human existence from a macro perspective. Filmed on the Ibiza coast, the performers create patterns both on land and in the sea. Filmed on sandy beaches, rocky cliffs and other locations such as an ancient lookout tower at sunset and sunrise, their bodies nearly disappear, leaving only their elongated shadows to move like fleeting markers of time. Shadows slip through the cracks of time, and time lingers in the shadows. Spirals and sundial-like shapes are created by the performers in their endless search for living in the present moment. From above, the swimmers resemble microorganisms drifting in a Petri dish, the circles they create evoking time as an infinite loop—unfolding, dissolving, and reforming. Blurring past and future, presence and absence, Shadows of Time transforms the landscape into a contemplative space where time does not move in a line but in endless cycles.
ENTANGLED
Merging costume and dance to express a vulnerable journey of the human experience. In this thought-provoking and dramatic performance, the sea becomes a stage for the exploration of interconnectedness with mesmerizing costume and performance by ellebannA.
El Nido
El Nido (The Nest) is an experimental short film exploring intimacy, interdependence, and the fragile architectures that bind humans to the natural world. Performed by two dancers who remain anchored within their “nest” on the shoreline, the piece unfolds through the movement of their upper bodies alone: arms unfurl like wings, fingers flicker like feathers, and together they evoke the tender vigilance of birds tending their clutch. Their entwined gestures create a quiet microcosm of care, echoing the delicate ecosystems surrounding them. Filmed in a single aerial take by drone on the banks of Posidonia oceanica in Ibiza—a seagrass vital for hosting marine habitats, producing oxygen, and protecting the coastline from erosion—the film is deeply informed by the plant’s quiet strength. The performers’ stillness is set against the ceaseless rhythm of the waves, and the location itself becomes a generative presence: a living cradle whose protective embrace inspired the choreography and the film’s central metaphor of nurture. This minimalist visual language draws the viewer into a meditative study of presence, connection, and the elemental forces that shape both nests and relationships. An original classical guitar score by Carlos Cabañares accompanies the film, its contemplative tones amplifying the emotional cadence of this intimate reflection on love, nature, and the small sanctuaries we build together.
Parallel Worlds
This latest project, PARALLEL WORLDS, brings a powerful new dimension with the collaboration of Berlin electronic artist Chris Zippel, who amplifies their visuals with immersive sound design and music. Step into PARALLEL WORLDS, where ancient whispers echo through unseen realms. Waters shimmer with hidden dimensions, each ripple a doorway to myth and magic.
